Sweet little Emerson. You are so very loved. You are quite lucky because your daddy loves your momma quite a bit too so he will be setting a great example in your life of what true love should be like.
Stefanie did so great during her labor. She took everything in stride and had such a healthy view about her birth plan. Her plan was… do what was best for her and her baby! Being in the medical field, both she and Brian had a very clear outlook on the entire process. They set out to have a natural birth. Emerson however, was quite comfortable. Once Stefanie’s water had broken, they anticipated things would pick up somewhat quickly. They didn’t. Stefanie labored, and labored, then labored some more. It became clear Emerson was protesting coming out of her personal spa.
A trip down the hall and a pretty amazing doctor later (Who let me stand at the end of the bed during surgery! How awesome is that?), Emerson was here and she was perfect. Stefanie completely trusted her doctor and nurses to do their jobs and she was able to thoroughly enjoy the birth of her baby girl. Welcome to the world, Emerson! I hope you love it here!
